TVS (TransientVoltageSuppressor) for short, the electrical characteristics of TVS are determined by the P-N junction area, doping concentration and chip resistance. Its ability to withstand surge current is proportional to its P-N junction area. n Features: fast response (pS level), small size, low clamping voltage, high reliability. The 10/1000μs wave pulse power ranges from 400W to 30000W, and the pulse peak current ranges from several amperes to several hundred amperes. The breakdown voltage of commonly used TVS tubes has a series value from 5V to 550V.

And high reliability, within the working range of TVS tube specifications, reliable performance, not easy to deteriorate, long service life. n Application: TVS is widely used in the protection of semiconductors and sensitive parts, the protection of secondary power and signal circuits, and anti-static. The principle of TVS nTVS is used for the suppression of instantaneous surge and is connected in parallel with the protected device. n Under normal working conditions, the TVS is in a high impedance state to the protected line. When the instantaneous voltage exceeds its breakdown voltage, the TVS provides a low impedance path to the instantaneous current. The instantaneous current flowing to the protected component is diverted to the TVS diode, and the voltage across the protected component is limited to the clamping voltage (ClampingVoltage) across the TVS. n When this overvoltage condition disappears, the TVS diode will return to the high impedance state again
